As I grew older, I had an interest in animals, which let me to study animal science at Western Illinois University. After graduation, I actually started selling cars at a local dealer close to home, where I eventually became the General manager. I made this job selection because I was involved in a country music band and did not want to relocate for work. Seventeen years later, I realized I was completely burned out and my family was growing up fast and the car business didn’t allow time for family events. I tried several different avenues, but the one I really enjoyed was something I had been doing on the side, working in the Outdoor Industry. I had been to several ATA and SHOT shows doing some work with one of the industry leaders on the TV side of things, but still hadn’t figured out something that the industry needed.
